About Scott McPherson, DDS

Scott McPherson, DDS, brings a wealth of experience to his leadership role at Ballpark Heights Family Dental. The dental provider of choice for many residents of Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. McPherson enjoys watching as those in his care achieve their dental health goals. 

A longstanding interest in science and medicine led Dr. McPherson to pursue dentistry as a career path. Over the years, he has continued to expand his skills and knowledge through ongoing education opportunities. 

Building relationships with those in his care is a top priority for Dr. McPherson. He takes the time to get to know each patient as a distinct individual to understand their dental needs more fully. 

The ability to relate to his patients and explain treatment options in simple and straightforward terms are just some of the things people appreciate about working with Dr. McPherson. With over two decades in practice, he’s had time to perfect his chairside manner.

Dr. McPherson also cares deeply about the work environment he’s created at Ballpark Heights Family Dental. The office is a warm and welcoming place where team members truly enjoy working with patients and each other.

When not in the office, Dr. McPherson spends time hunting, biking, cooking, and getting outside with his dog, Rueger. He gives back to his community through work with Animal Rescue League and AHeinz57, a local foster-based animal rescue organization.
